Kary G. Whitehead

Board Certified Sleep Physician

Meridian has been home to the Whitehead family since 1992 when I began my practice of pulmonary, critical care, and sleep medicine. I grew up in Columbia, MS, where my dad was a family physician and I
saw the pleasure he had in taking care of his patients. That was the major reason I became a physician and why I enjoy sleep medicine so much. People who don’t sleep well, don’t feel well. When you help them sleep and feel better, they appreciate it.

Paula Morgan

Nurse Practitioner

I am a board certified family nurse practitioner that has focused my practice in sleep medicine since joining Meridian Sleep Services in 2014.  I completed my Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, MS then went on to earn my Master of Science in Nursing at Samford University in Birmingham, AL. I am nationally certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

Cindy Patrick

Nurse Practitioner

I originally graduated from EMCC in 1987, before attending MS University for Women. With a B.S. degree in Paralegal studies, my plan was to attend law school. While working as a paralegal, my grandmother became very ill, and after watching the nurses care for her, I changed my career to nursing. I graduated from MUW nursing in 1995. After working in critical care, telemetry, post anesthesia and cardiovascular recovery for 18 years, I attended nurse practitioner school, graduating in 2013. I joined Meridian Sleep Services in 2017, and being a CPAP user myself has helped me to help others with their sleep problems.
